I got a bit mad after i heard there’d be no pool party skins this year so have some miss vice-president of the “My Kit is too Good but I’m Popular so I will never get Real Nerfs” Club
Entering a silent building in the dark of night, and waiting for the deep blue strains of nautical twilight to light up the building, every footstep and creak of the building resounds throughout, almost deafening. There is nothing to do but walk about, feeling one’s way until the gloaming light allows one to see their first shot of the morning. This was one of my first shots of the morning in the Wingdale Wards at Harlem Valley State Hospital; a long exposure, it was much darker and more eerie in person, as the blue light of morning began to flow into the 1932 building.
Tradition meets Technology at the 2014 Eco Edo Nihonbashi Art Aquarium
The Eco Edo Nihonbashi Art Aquarium 2014 opened last Friday at the Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall in Tokyo, Japan. This exhibition features 17 fish tank installations designed by “art aquarist” Hidetomo Kimura, whose work brings more than 5,000 goldfish on display in 70 aquariums.
These extraordinary aquatic installations are decked with LED lights, projection mapping, music and even scents. While the technology involved is quite advanced, the aquarium designs are inspired by Japan’s Edo Period (1603–1868) and incorporate traditional motifs such as classic glass fish bowls, folding screens and lanterns.
Hidetomo’s works will be on view at the Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall until September 23, 2014.

Skippy wore a flower crown today! He was pretty patient with me, bless his little heart. He got some maple leaves as a reward and was very happy. He’s shedding, so forgive his ragamuffin appearance. His eyes look like that because he’s blind, but they match his flower crown nicely!
Bonus: Skip’s had it with the flower crown.
